  16 - 19 February 2009, Barcelona
  The GSMA Mobile World Congress (formerly 3GSM World Congress) combines the world's largest exhibition for the mobile industry with a stimulating and insightful congress that brings together prominent leaders and personalities from mobile operators and equipment vendors, as well as Internet and entertainment professionals. The 2009 Mobile World Congress is expected to attract approximately 60,000 attendees.
  
  
• CeBIT
  3-8 March 2009, Hannover.
  For CeBIT 2008 the 5,845 exhibitors from 77 countries reported they were leaving Hannover with bulging order books. Despite the shorter run of the new show (six days versus the previous seven), attendance was up three percent over the previous year, totalling 495,000. Visitors from abroad accounted for one out of five attendees - a total of over 100,000, with the Americas accounting for a particularly big increase.
  
  
• MEDICA 2009
  18 - 21 November 2009, Düsseldorf.
  As an international meeting point for 136,000 trade visitors from virtually every state in the world with some 4,300 exhibitors from80 countries. The MEDICA congress is the traditional hub of the overall MEDICA trade fair. Since the 70s the congress has provided further medical education unique throughout Europe. Some10,000 doctors use more than 300 seminars to refresh their knowledge and obtain the latest information for their daily patient care. National and international professional scientific institutions hold their annual conferences and symposiums at MEDICA
